Nimby,
I'm tempted to get the Zaurus based simply on the fact that it's NOT Windoze, but unfortunatley most of the world runs on Windoze so I need to be sure of compatibility. Do you run any M$ apps on there? I'm really only concerned about the big ones like Word and Excel. The above linked page says it can sync to Outlook, so that's good. This isn't encouraging -
Limited MS Word & Excel Compatibility Yes (Not all functions are available when importing/exporting Microsoft Office files.)
I've only diddled with Linux in the past, so my knowledge is limited. Is this something that a n008 can set up on their home nework with relative ease? Any pitfalls with this thing?
Maybe "dabbled" would have been a better word... ;-) Anyhoo, I usually don't shy away from new new levels of gadgetry or geekiness, I just don't have the time right now to put into learning a new tool. My evenings lately have been eaten up by swimming in the pool, gaming, and swilling beer, and I like it that way.

I guess I really should have posted what my intent.
1. M$ Excel spreadsheet logging of trouble calls. 5-30 per shift. I need it to sync to a master log on our network when I dock/sync. It would be nice if they would let me join this to our domain, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
2. Sync to home and work email.
3. Edit Word documents and print to network printer.
4. Listen to Muzak.
5. Browse the internet, download and print PDF's.
6. Download pr0n.

OK, just kidding... (or am I?) :-P
