Looks really buggy but the graphics are pretty.  hope they iron a lot of these out before we get it.

Scrub ahead to 24 min mark to get right to the action.

After watching this thing for a bit I am excited. I am eager to see what they do about the customization and what controls will be available. I would love to see an API for HUD configuration so that I could custom build a control panel that toggles certain HUD info.

For such an early Alpha release I think it's great.

That g-force factor is really going to be a game changer for tactics.. Really. No more pulling off insane stunts without the fear of blacking out.

I wonder though how it'll be in deep space. I mean, there shouldn't be anything around to cause this effect, right?

Was Carl n Friends there?  I kid....

Seriously though, the mechanics are IDENTICAL to Freelancer.  Engine kill, strafing, locking system, guns leader, etc...

I'm gonna like this.

Shame the game was not cooperating for Chris. I was watching that stream last night, really stoked for the module.

You actually would still feel a black out. Sharp banks and turns produce centripetal force on yourbody in relation to the aircraft. A negative G, or red out, happens in a sudden dive where your body wants to keep going forward or upward, but the ship is no pulling you down.

G Forces in actual fighters on Earth are independent of gravity.

Today I learned.

Either way I'm excited to see this level of realism and the prevention of BF4 aircraft physics that decrease the accuracy/immersion and greatly increase frustration.

It looks exciting. It's interesting to note that all the staff at RSI are using hornets with the ball turret installed. Something only the military units are supposed to have right now.
