And it figures the network connection to the intranet fails on a Monday morning. We are looking into it and will have service restored ASAP.

FITES Feedback / Re: FITES 2017 - New Hotel - Reviews are awful

Did anyone from FITES check into this hotel before choosing it?  The Yelp! reviews are horrifying.

I did, and I am guessing they have to have a room they show people looking at the ballroom. (The one I was shown was pretty nice.) But as an alternative, the rooms at the Aspire (which is attached) are likely nicer because the whole building is newer, but slightly more expensive.

And sadly it was getting down to having it here or no event at all. They were the only place we could find who had the space and power and wouldn't drive ticket prices up to near the 60 to 75 dollar mark.

"There was hair in and around the tub and generally dirt and dust on the sink and tub. I saw a hair on the bedsheets...before we even slept in there."

"This place smells like a stable and looks like a 70s Vegas hotel. There are what seems to be bloodstains on the linens and the bathroom walls. Avoid this cesspool of a hotel, I do not recommend."

"Stayed here all of one night and wouldn't do a second. Checking in the lady was very nice and they provided an old cot. The room had a musty smell with iron burn markings on the floor. One lamp was missing a light and the phone had blood on it. Speaking of blood, a pillow and comforter were blotched with blood."

These are photos of the rooms submitted by customers:

Stained bed linens, dirty sinks, carpets not vacuumed.  Ugh.

« Last post by An0rak on August 20, 2016, 08:23:14 PM »
Hey guys,

I'm selling my 2 MSI GTX 970 4G Gaming video cards.  The look and work great.  No issues in the 1.5 years I've had them.

I'm asking $200 per card or $385 for both.  Please let me know if you're interested.  I wanted to offer it here before going to ebay.

We can get it cheaper if 4 of us go in on a 4 pack!

Twins and I are in...so two more maybe?

Other LAN Parties / MidWestLAN - August 5-7 - Madison, WI
« Last post by Striker on June 26, 2016, 08:54:32 PM »
One of the midwest's oldest LAN parties, MidWestLAN, is being rebooted this August 5th - 7th with a new venue, three of the midwest's finest gaming event teams, an Extra Life team, and our same great focus on running the high quality gaming events.

After two great events in the more cramped confines of the ELC at the Country Springs Hotel in Pewaukee, we're hitting the road and going west to 18,000 square feet of room in the spacious Convention Center at the Marriott Madison West in Middleton, WI. We've got room for at least 200 BYOC players, and 150+ Smash and Hearthstone players as well!

We'll be working with the fantastic Mad City and Gamers HQ teams to bring you our Main Event series featuring cash prize tournaments for CS:GO, Hearthstone, League of Legends, Starcraft 2, Super Smash Bros Melee, 4, and Project M.

There are also two Extra Life charity events benefiting the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin for League and Hearthstone on the schedule. And of course, it wouldn't be an MWL event without our Silver Series competitions - including Rocket League, Unreal Tournament, Mario Kart 8, and newcomers Overwawtch and Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes.

If you just want to spend the weekend hanging with friends and fellow gamers, we'll have plenty of open play going on, plus a tabletop section, vendors, a Hearthstone lounge, and (hopefully) an arcade section!

It's going to be one amazing weekend of gaming , and whether you want to test your skill against other hardcore competitors, show off your case mod skills, hang out in the Hearthstone lounge, or just spend all weekend chilling with your friends, whatever you want to do - MidWestLAN .reboot will have it!

Registration and more info can be found at https://www.lanreg.org/midwestlan/mwl2016reboot
