I think you meant chupacabra in that instance.  Although I think we would need to break out some Quake III Excessive to really have a good test of skills for you two to determine which it would be.

Q3A Excessive is more blind guaranteed kill than skill. All you have to do is keep the fire button pressed down continuously and aim in the very rough general area of the target.

See that is where you are wrong....especially with the rocket launcher...all you do in that instance is knock them out of your aim.  Of oourse if you use the machine gun it just takes 3 seconds of direct hits to kill them.  Even the BFG won't kill you at full health on a direct hit.
