Cloverfield
« on: January 19, 2008, 05:37:34 PM »
Just saw Cloverfield today. Without giving away too much info(what little there is to give away), I'll just say that it was fantastically done. It was brilliant in its execution. And it was exceedingly unique. One thing I realized when I got home... there was no music score at all. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Zip.

Bloody brilliant. I'm tempted to go see it again. I'd highly recommend it.

Excellent. I saw the trailer last year for it, and it looked amazing, but I just wasn't sure if it was $8.00 on a Saturday night amazing. Maybe I'll hit up the late showing tonight

I just got back from seeing it.  I really enjoyed it.  I did feel like it did not give good closure, but that is as far as I will go.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with that one... tho I won't go in to details, since it would be a spoiler.

I heard that on that aspect alone we should expect a sequel.  I may go see this film today.

From the tv trailers I have seen all I know is it's about people, in japan, and something big rampages through the city....it could be a godzilla movie for all I know....I hate when they do that with trailers.

Oh man dave you shouldn't have downloaded it. This is one movie I actually refuse to download. I am going to see it in the theaters again, and if I do watch the movie at home, it will have to be in HD on a 42" with surround sound. I refuse to watch it any other way.

Heh, in fact... the more I talk about this movie with friends, the more I see I only have one gripe about it. But I can't consider it a gripe since it is completely irrelevant to the enjoyability of the movie. I just know that I want a hand-held video recorder THAT durable.

well i originally thought that i would only watch it in hd and on the big screen but the entire movie is shot on a jerky video cam so im thinking what good would it be to watch it in HD.
