Once the insurance adjuster comes out and takes a look at the car you should be able to bring it to a shop and get it fixed and the insurance will pay directly to the shop most times.  You shouldn't be sitting on the car waiting for the insurance to get ready.

wow! thanks for all the replies guys, yeah von, a lady around the block called the cops when it happend and he came out and filed it and its repoted to the insurance too, cuz they asked for the case number, and the cop told me it was his fault at the fender bender.. so yeah and Rathe the insurance adjsuter didnt come yet, so im still holding on, but ill keep you guys updated! and thanks for all the replies

It takes a rather long time, my friend finally got his car taken off his hands. So that is what like 6 weeks, so just be prepared to spend alot of patient waiting for insurance companies. Reason it took so long is they had to get the chick's information. The one who ran into him, doing about 15 and totalled the car. Go figure.

okay some new updates, I got it priced $3200 to fix all the damage, my insurance looks like their gonna pay for it, and sue state farm for the money back, but its not in the shop yet, they just e-mailed erie all the info so ill keep you guys updated
