Hey guys. Been awhile since I poked around here. Been really busy with work and junk. Played my first BF3 on Saturday for the first time in two weeks. Was going through withdrawl!
Anyway. As it turns out Chris and I have had this fascination with abandoned places for quite some time. Chris went to Centralia last summer and actually said it was pretty lame. Seemed more like an attraction. Lots of people around.
We decided we wanted to check out Pennhurst Asylum. This may be a little too ambition of a project. I'll skip this for now.
Yesterday we went out to
Fricks Lock and
Linfield Industrial Park/Distillery. It was pretty cool and a decent starter adventure
Some pics
here, more eventually as we're developing the film. YES a camera with film!
I dont make it home very often back to the Harrisburg Area, but I wouldnt mind checking out Williams Grove Amusement Park.
Williams Grove Amusement Park was the first amusement park I went to as a kid. I remember that place vividly. Even looking at a
Bing Birds Eye I can spot where all the rides used to be. The thing about the the overhead of that map is that its from 2010. Has anyone drove by there recently and seen it? I dont even see a fence around there anymore. Any info? A wiki article says the rides have been sold, but it looks as though most of the buildings still remain. You can clearly see the roller coaster and the water slide. The building where the "Himalaya" was is still there, as is the fun house, and the enclosure to the bumper cars.
This might be something I check out next year when I visit you guys for your LAN. Anyone else have this same fascination I do? Know of any other cool places to check out?
