Oh good grief, it's not that big of a deal. I signed it because we wanted to show off 200 signatures right? If the only to sign the thing were the only people hardcore enough to stick with it, there would have been a LOT less signatures, and that wouldn't have looked very impressive on the DICE/EA forums, now would it? :P Doesn't matter now, though. No point in continuing this dead horse of an argument.
Honestly, it really displays your integrity. Just sayin'. If you knew you were going to buy the game regardless of lan support or not and "with the likelihood of me attending any lan this year being extremely slim" - which basically means you could care less for lan support in general - you should not have signed the petition. I believe it wasn't for show, and I think 99.9% of the people who did sign it also didn't do it 'for show'.
I have been pretty much keeping my mouth shut on some of the comments about this subject. But I couldn't let that comment go unnoticed.
Sure EA/DICE could probably care less about a small group of gamers, but maybe....just maybe...this could provoke even more gamers (PC gamers) to continue in the effort to make EA/DICE notice that they are Fudgeing with one of their most loyal fan base.
