I was playing around with VASSAL using the BSG module recently. Now that I own the actual game I was able to fill in all the card info to use on VASSAL. It got me thinking that a few of us out there might really enjoy playing board games on game night. If you don't know what VASSAL is you can check it out here.
It basically allows us to play board games and card games over the internet. It is surprisingly easy to use (with the games I tested) so I see no problem with that. Ideally, I would like to fire up a Google hangout for a group of us and play a game of BSG (I'm open to other suggestions) on VASSAL. Any interest in VASSAL for game night or in general?

I would love to play around with this game system. I love the idea of being able to play some table top with people over a google hangout or something.

Looks pretty easy to setup. I was able to get Battlestar up and running within a few minutes

Wanna try to at least play around with it this Friday or Saturday? Get used to the flow and whatnot so we can play a good game later on down the road.

No problem. We can do it whenever we are all free. I just want to do it sooner than later because 1.) I am also dying to play (esp. with people who can appreciate the show) and 2.) the longer we wait, the more likely it is that we will push it under the rug and never play. I'll be bringing it to the mini next weekend. We can all figure out our schedules there and set some time aside to play online as well as pick some other modules out.

Let's reach out to the GaG guys and see if they want to do a podcast of playing the game together or not. Maybe they would at least be interested playing, and mentioning it on their podcast.

GAG is down for some VASSAL action!

I've got VASSAL installed as well.  I have the BSG mod downloaded, what other mods do people want to play?
