Basically in my infinite wisdom and stupidity (still deciding which is wins), I decided to install Windows Vista with an XP dual boot. The OS has some good eye candy, but I am having some driver issues. I have an Nvidia 7800 GT PCI Xpress and the video card drivers from Nvidia do not work. The video card is recognized but will not support direct 3-D. My MOBO lan drivers do not work either. There are no supported Vista drivers at this point. All these driver issues are understood since Vista is still Beta, but anyone able to offer some help?
Also, is Vista Beta going to be upgradeable upon product launch?

Umm.... I thought that nvidia had a driver package for Vista... and for network cards... I thought it had a backwards compatible layer for the drivers from XP....
But after all I could be confused.

I am going to wait until Vista has been thoroughly tested, smashed, debugged, and crippled until I start to use it. Then I don't have to worry about asking people about answers cause they are already plastered all over the internet cause other people have had to fix that problem first.

hmm, never thought to drop in the XP drivers for the network card. I'll have to try that. Thanks shadowhawk.

Are you running vista x64, it has serious issues with drivers.

The resolution has been found. The bios needed to be updated. Now everything seems to have been accepted by vista.
