Teamspeak and BC2
« on: August 08, 2011, 10:42:36 AM »
Hey Guys. I noticed that I cannot run Teamspeak and BC2 at the same time. Whenever I do BF will just crash without and error messages. I tried good ol' Google but didn't come up with much other than it happens to some people. I know my rig is up there with some of the other "badass" systems so I'm fairly confident it's not my hardware. It would suck if I couldn't rock BC2 with you guys on Teamspeak. You don't have a Ventrillo server do you? That works  8)

PS - Every other game works except for BC2. Just tested out Killing Floor, L4D1 and 2, and QL.

Do you have the TeamSpeak overlay enabled? Maybe try disabling it, or alternatively, enabling it. It's got to be a setting you have somewhere, or perhaps an outdated driver. We all use TS and BC2 without issue.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!

Just curious if you got it working. Please post the answer for others having the same issue. :D

Yes I got it working. I have to turn off the DirectX overlay plugin in teamspeak. Without that things work fine.

It works in other games just not BC2. It crashes it right back to the desktop with no error messages. I don't give a damn though. Like you said the important thing is I got it working...kinda

Unfortunately I crash to desktop once every 30 min or so in BC2. I never thought crash to desktop could be TS related.  Ill have to do a few tests and see if this fixes my problems
