Rathe, if you read what EA said they actually suggest you to do it this way, and they pretty much said that you'll find the last key by trying A-Z or 0-9.

Well that really sucks.  You only have a 50% chance of guessing right then.  If you choose to try A-Z and the key needs 0-9, you are screwed and vice versa.  What about caps too??  Is it case sensitive??  then it cuts it down to 33% chance of guessing.  Damn EA.

That's way better than wasting $40. Just make sure you write down the correct character.

Tibs, you must be paid extremely well to not value guessing an extra character.  Even based upon entering 1 key code per minute and getting it on the last try, 36 entrys would be may and take 36 minutes.  Prorating the $40 bucks spent on the 2nd game from 36 minutes to 60 means that your time lost was worth more than $66/hr.  This does not take into account the time needed to acquire a new game.  

All I can say is that I want your job if you are making more than 66 bucks an hour or you truely pulled a BONEHEAD move throwing out the game.  Hmmm... sounds like a vote.
