Hey i gots a prob and if any of yall computer guys could help me.
Usually im pretty computer savvy, at least when it comes to my comp and settings, but ive had a prob ever since i went to the 100 man lan.
I have a home network using a wired/wireless g linksys router. And my bro, my mom, and my comp share everything via the network so herein lies the problem, my comp has become basically a blocked network connection, all internet and jazz works but i cant share, or grab files onto the network.
I'm postin this on here for the obvious reasons, not thinking u guys would intentionally mean this to happen but was just wonderin if u had some special network rules running or scripts that my comp might have picked up during the 100 man lan, considering u guys were trying to limit filesharing at the lan.
Very well might not be anything but a stupid simple fix, but its been buggin the hell out of me and any help would be appreciated. I already checked my TCP/IP prot. settings and everything seems fine. My bro's comp and mom's comp can network fine but just mine is screwy.
Thanks for any help,
Mike (Bloodpainter)

At the lan we had SMB being blocked at the switch level. And a null netbios/wins server. This should be reset when you restart your machine and plug into a new network.
Did you have any antivirus installed on your machine? or firewall? Lack of antivirus could screw you up big time. And the firewall could be blocking stuff (netbios, etc)
just for humor though. goto command line (start>run> cmd.exe) and type "ipconfig /flushdns" (minus quotes)
that should get rid of all previous dns info, It could be a problem.
also run just "ipconfig" and post the result here if the above doesn't do anything
