Maybe it's time to switch to a safer browser?  Try Firefox, I heard it was good.

I also need to fix an issue with the Signatures in Chrome.

The sigs still look fine to me in Chrome. But maybe it's because I'm using the developer beta version.

The only thing that I miss. Is that when you click on the FIT ES banner at the top. It doesn't take you back to the main page. Maybe you just have not got around to it yet.

When I surf the web from my TV I will have to use IE when I got to Fites now.  Will be able to read it really easy.

That will come back. The update took out some of the fancy little things.

hehe... i can see one new feature (unless maybe i missed it on the previous version):  When looking at a post that is pretty old... "Warning: this topic has not been posted in for at least 120 days.
Unless you're sure you want to reply, please consider starting a new topic."

That was definitely a nice addition made by the devs!

I'm not sure that I like the new theme either. It looks like you have a padding issue at the top unless the gradient/logo image isn't supposed to touch the edge...

Is the peel-away register link a new feater? That's pretty flashy! I love it.

It's padded like that in an image file because it was made for no site logo just text resting above.

Gotcha - wouldn't be too hard to edit the CSS and fix that.  What's the script that runs that peel-away advertisement though? I like it (too bad it doesn't show up in webkit browsers  :'( )!

it's under h1 .forumtitle {} ... just change padding-top: 52px; to like 2px or something...

It did then it just stopped for no reason when Agent and I were working on it... Still looking into it..

IT'S AN IMAGE! I have to edit the image first.

I'm sorry but no, the image is not what's causing that gap. Look at this:
Code: [Select]
<h1 class="forumtitle">
<a href="http://www.fites.net"><img src="http://www.fites.net/forums/Themes/darkmodern/images/logo.png" alt="FITES - Forums" /></a>

Since the <img> is inside an h1 with class of forumtitle... editing the padding on that section of CSS will get rid of the gap.

That's not the image he's talking about. It's the background main block image, as shown here (it's a bit hard to see in the forum so just click this link (http://www.fites.net/forums/Themes/darkmodern/images/theme/main_block.png), it's the bottom portion of that image):

Guess I should have taken a longer look at the CSS  :bomb: ... I assumed the lighter gray was part of the image. The gap is still ugly though :D !

In FireFox, right click somewhere in the page, select "View Page Info", click the 'Media' tab, scroll through the elements. It saves time from browsing through the css file.

I've been using Google's Developer Tools (wonderful!) - has stats about load times and will find page errors for you. I just right clicked on where the FITES logo was and saw the padding. My mistake is not looking further to realize that image wasn't the whole top.

I may be wrong but doesn't that kind of png resize? The "gap" is much smaller in the source file.

Also the page ear works in Chrome.... Right click in the top right. It's there, it just isn't loading the image into the flash.
