I have a great program for audio Editing.  It is called goldwave. It is not free but you do get a bunch of things you can do before the trial ends.  Goldwave Download (http://www.goldwave.com/release.php)  Let me know what you think of it.

I agree about media source.  I've used it in the past and the resulting mp3s are very high quality.  Lots of options for bitrate.

just go to creative's website > support > downloads
Then look up your specific model sound card and operating system.

That is what I have, the Audigy 2 ZS. Here are the steps:

1. Right click on the mediasource icon in the taskbar.
2. Select the organizer.
3. Bring up the songs you want to format, select them all and ricght click.
4. select convert file format.
5. Select destination format, and a folder where you want them to go.

That is it, once you do that click convert now and you are off. You can also click add and manually add songs into the convertor, except you have to go hunting for them

I think the Cheetah thing I downloaded has that capability... I can't seem to remember... on this note, any idea why my Nero stopped burning MP3s and now I have to make them wavs?

Does it give you any error or reason as to why it won't?  Is it a lite version of nero?

U mean to a m4a as iTunes is gay in the sense that they have to convert any media file they have into their own format instead of using standard mp3. I'd just do it in an audio editing program like Cool Edit Pro or Adobe Audacity (aka the same as cool edit just adobe bought em out). Not free though :-(

Nope. It's Nero OEM with all kindsa random crap. Came with my DVD Burner. Nonetheless, I'm downlloading the update for it now and mayeb one day I'll try to burn a CD again. Maybe.
