HTC Tilt Phone help

Ok my wife has the HTC Tilt phone. i updated the software & it deleted everything she has put on the phone from the start. WTF is with that. so is there a way i can get any of the info back. Like the phone contacts or apps that have been downloaded

no. i had no idea by updating the software it would delete everything that was installed already. ok the apps she has are gon. no big deal butit deleted all her pics & contacts. its like the phone was a total reset. is it possible the data on the Sim card is still there? if i go into a store will they be able to recover it?

What update did you do?  Most rom updates (both legit and hacked) will blow away everything. 

Couple things to check...

Did she ever use activesync to sync with MS Outlook on her computer at home?  if so, check out Outlook and see if her contacts and other things are there.

If she used an SD card... it's possible some of the things she used or stored are located there...  Contacts and e-mails won't be, but other things like pictures and music might.

If she used it to sync with gmail or yahoo or any of those sites, it's possible the e-mails / contacts will be at the respective site.

Winmo has a file explorer, you can use to browse around the file system to see if you can find any of the missing pictures and whatnot.
