Title: Logitech G15 KB with Win7
Post by: The Nstuff on October 20, 2009, 05:56:49 PM
Anyone try the Vista drivers with Windows 7 for the Logitech G15 keyboard?

<rant>
Windows 7 has been RTM for a month or two.  RC and Beta prior and Logitech can't get off their arse and cough up drivers with official support for Win7 for their enthusiast-level keyboard?
</rant>

So, anyone try the Vista ones and do they work well?  (my G15 is the one with the orange lights and orange LCD).

Yep, mine works just fine even with LCD Studio.  Windows 7 x64....I think I just used the Vista x64 Drivers.

Mine works fine with the vista drivers... I had to do weird Crap to make them install if remember correctly... But I use Sirreal's panel.

Same here, no issues. I had a issue with Vista after awhile the LCD wouldn't display. It just had the logo displayed and nothing else. Reinstalled the driver and still nothing. Now on Win 7 x64 works perfectly fine. Not had a problem since.

The ONLY issues I have with win7 is when it sleeps, you have to either re-load the g15 driver or reset the machine to get the diplay to work properly again.  And (although this is not a g15 issue) some LCD Studio plugins don't work correctly such as the memory usage reporting.  Windows 7 doesn't like to report the correct amount of ram to everest.  Stuck at 2048.

I decided to bypass the issue and get a g19 o.O

sweet!

I keep hoping Logitech will put out some Win7 drivers... as i've been staring at the orange "G15" for long enough.  Time to install the Vista ones... good to hear they aren't problematic.

Meh, the g19 looks nice...but there's no development for it...yet.  Even if....I like to customize my display with LCD studio and this has it's own cpu for the display.  i would think that it would be harder to develop plugins let alone apps that use the LCD exclusively ie: LCDStudio.

That is unless they release an SDK for it.  Then maybe the possibilities would grow exponentially.

Well, apparently Logitech was waiting for today (10/22) to officially post the windows 7 drivers...  They just updated the download section with a new 'Windows 7' option for the OS choice.  I downloaded it and it was the exact same file they uploaded a few weeks ago... lgps303_x64.exe

I don't believe Logitech is big on that. Although I have been wrong before.
