BF2: Euro Force?
« on: January 13, 2006, 10:51:49 AM »
What is the difference between a booster pack and an expansion pack? Also, I'm not sure of the release date for EF (I heard it was like February sometime), but if it comes out before the 100 man lan, will it be used there on the dedicated servers? Also, if I download it (because its only available via the EA downloader) and show up at the lan, will I still be able to play normal bf2 for the tourney and on the free play dedicated server?

I just want to avoid a senario where I show up and can't play the most played game there.  :cussing:

Dedicated servers will not have any booster packs or expansion packs installed.  They will be out of the box set ups to minimize issues with people not having the same maps.

We will have the latest patch releases installed however.  Its easier to install up, than to wipe and install and re-install from scratch.

Will it be set up like steam? To the extent that if I remove and reinstall BF2, EA will know that I already purchased it and allow me to download it without charging me again?

And is there a release date yet?

That is G@Y!!  and Yes, there is something wrong with that!!!!    :angryfire:

EA is such a POS anymore. They develop a release of one of the most anticipated games (BF2) and they blow it with a piece of garbage interface, bugs out the waazoo, hacking built in, and now they rape everyone with these lame expansion/booster packs to sell a better experience??!!!!   F  U  EA!!!!  :cussing:    :cussing:   I wanna stab scizzors in your faces and pee on your cars and.....

bwhahhaahahahaha, no, I'm not upset...

yea if i get half the game time i've spent on BF2 out of the booster packs it will be worth every cent to me.  Granted i know they are making profits off me but to me Im getting my moneys worth.
