Help With Mobo and Drivers
« on: April 14, 2006, 01:23:51 PM »
I'm having issues with a new comp i'm building for my sister. The mobo is an albatran (can't complain...got it for free) with a AMD athlon processor (1.6ghz) All they need it for is typing and surfing..so it's plenty of power for em. I can't seem to locate the drivers or the model of the motherboard though. I looked everywhere and it's not posted. this mobo is socket 734. It also has the ide connections on the side of the mobo...not on top like normal. Does anyone know what type of mobo this is? i've looked at all the nforce2 mobo's I could find on the web to match it up...but have had no luck. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks

It looks very simular to the link below...except it's amd and not pentium and the ide connections are on the side of the mobo like I said...not on top. It also is running ddr333 I believe if that helps. Anyways, please help me out.

734? you mean 754?

Try looking at the southbride, that name/number plus "albatron" should yield some good results

err.... some quick googleing... http://www.ocinside.de/go_e.html?/html/results/mainboard_albatron_k8x800_pro.html maybe?

edit: in which case the VIA drivers (viaareana.com) should work for ya

Well, the usb drivers (which is all I wanted) decided to autoinstall from another set of albatran drivers. So I got the wireless network adapter runnig and the comp is online. Thats all I really cared about anyways. Thanks for the help
