did you have any issues with it when you did? I dloaded it but im waiting to see how many people have problems..
-
I did it on my old gaming system....didn't notice any changes and didn't have any problems. Still have yet to do it on my main gaming system just because I haven't found the time to do it yet.
-
I updated all of my machines, there are no noticeable differences.
-
In the process of doing it now.
-
I wanna know if upgrading to SP3 is worth it as well...
-
I have it running on two computers no problems during or after the install. I don't notice any real differences, I even did a clean install on one of the machines. Let me just say it isn't detrimental to your system.
-
Well then perhaps I won't wait months to actually update...
-
I haven't upgraded anything to it yet... though i'm really not looking forward to losing my explorer toolbar in the taskbar. I really love and rely on that thing.
-
I have SP3 and can still put an explorer toolbar in the taskbar. But I like having it at the top of the screen.
-
huh... that is in stark contrast to everything i've read. I wonder if you have it is enabled before the upgrade that it keeps it.
In the following link, there's even a guy who made an app to replace the nuked feature.

Oh, address bar. I thought you said explorer bar. I never had an address bar on my taskbar. I thought you meant when you could place a folder or 'My computer' tool bar on the task bar/desktop.

If it had said 'Internet Explorer' toolbar, that would have clarified it. Explorer refers to viewing your directory structure as in opening your 'My Computer' opens an explorer window. Check your task manager next time you have both IE and explorer open - two seperate processes.
-
ya, that's it. Didn't realize i said explorer and that you were thinking of something else. Regardless... still sucks that they took it away. The excuse they use is that it was due to legal reasons. Yet they left it in fully functional in Vista. Not complaining, but I never felt that they worked any differently so not sure why one was kept and one taken away. Though the *address* toolbar in XP always seemed to be more buggy than in Vista.
