anyone know of a program to use to move space around between partions

You mean to shrink and enlarge a partition on the same physical drive?

Or partition magic (assuming this is a windows machine.

Vista/7 can do this nativel to an extent.  Id try it there first.  Right click Computer --> Manage --> Disk Management

Otherwise I load up a GParted live CD/DVD
