Hey,
I'd like to go to the FITES monthly, (I'll buy tickets next paycheck). They said look in this forum for the FAQ in the LAN forum post I saw but I don't see it anywhere. Someone hit me with a link. Thanks.

Basic info on the item page in the store: http://www.fites.net/store/?sa=view;id=10 (http://www.fites.net/store/?sa=view;id=10)
And that page tells you to check the Terms of Service, which is now stickied at the top of the Support Forum. For some reason at was previously stickied to the News forum. I've moved it here because it makes more sense here and that's where the item pages says it is ;)

Basically it just boils down to: "Don't be a dick; show up and have fun!" The smaller monthly LAN's are very laid back and we just show up and play for fun. Our annual event is where we have the more structured schedule, tournaments, sponsors, prizes, etc. where there is really more info to be concerned with. You should probably also read the Code of Conduct at http://www.fites.net/?page=codeofconduct (http://www.fites.net/?page=codeofconduct)

Jump on the team speak server some night and play with us!
Biggest blunder:
Make sure that steam, windows and your antivirus are up to date.
Unexpected updates when sharing a internet connection can be lengthy. Also a broken down system due to a patch going bad can lead to you reinstalling everything when you should be playing. Don't be that guy!
Just a fyi essentials to bring:
1) Your PC/Laptop
2) All the cables needed to hook up your gear
3) Surge suppressor
4) Ethernet cord 25' or greater (monoprice.com has good ones cheap)
**Protip get one that's not the standard blue/grey so it can be traced**)
5) Game DVD's
If you want to play something at the event that's not super common make a post on the forums and see if any other attended will have it installed.
Also GIANT (Greater than 28") displays and multiple displays are fun but ultimately a hassle for the people sitting next to you as they take up more space than is allotted. If you must bring one consider the purchase of an additional ticket or just give us a heads up before hand if the event is getting kinda full so we can work something out.
