Title: FF is being SLOW!!
Post by: .:F3ar0n:. on February 02, 2009, 08:52:31 AM
Anyone run into this prob with the new build of firefox? I run in IE and it's fine. Pages load instantly with no problems whatsoever. However, firefox seems to be having a cow. I mean it's taking 10 sec to load a page. I reset settings, reinstalled it, and disabled add ons and it's still doing it. Any thoughts / ideas  :bigcry:

Went back to FF 2.0 and bam it's fine again. It's weird because it was working fine up to this past week. On tuesday it was acting up and has never been the same since. And it's not like it's internet based cause IE works great so it has to be something with my settings and the browser. Oh wells, I guess I'll retry 3.0 another time but for now I'll stick with good old fashion 2.0. Sucks I lost my bookmarks...Forgot to back that up. Woops

Give FF3.1 a try. You can grab that at http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html (http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html)

As for your bookmarks, I suggest getting the FoxMarks addon. It will synchronize your bookmarks with their server so you can have the same bookmarks on multiple PC's, have access to them via their website if you're on a friend's computer, or in this case, you always have a backup of them in case they go missing for some reason. They recently added password sync too so I never have to remember my passwords again ;)

FF 3.06 runs fine for me. No issues.
