driver issue
« on: July 15, 2006, 09:44:31 AM »
I threw a new OS on my sony laptop. I am having issues whenever I play videos or games(plays well for a few mins and then gets choppy.). I have an older driver for my Radeon IGP 345M, from like 2004. I found a new one (6.14.10.6512) but the mirror site for the download is just ATI's support site and I can't find the diver file anywhere. Would love some help.

Yes, I have tried that. Like I said, the mirror site just throws me to the ati support page.

sounds typical of issues when you don't install your motherboard drivers.

Here you go man I think you can find what you need here.

http://www.sonystyle.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/SY_ViewStatic-Start?page=%2fstatic%2fhelp%2fsy_help%2eisml

On the left click: Downloads/Drivers
Then in option 2 select: Computers-Notebook
Then do option 3 and select your model, don't worry about the series or anything else.

Then select any of the three things, hopefully one of the drivers will fix your problem. I'm with Dwg it might just be a BIOS issue.

Support page for PCG-K35:
http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-home.pl?mdl=PCGK35&region_id=1

Drivers:
http://esupport.sony.com/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=PCGK35&UpdateType=Everything

its probley not bios... if it worked fine before new install and you didnt change it after, shouldnt be a problem...

im guessing its chipset drivers... hope that helps

His poor machine is cursed! You need a Priest, a Rabi, and Blonde! That would make a good joke...... Maybe one day I will write it, but it seems to want to write itself in my head.
