Title: DoubleG is in dire need!
Post by: Agent4054 on June 07, 2008, 05:16:11 PM
He is dehydrated and is need of the the internets. Or something.

Oh wait false alarm. He has internets now. So he's just delirious and dehydrated. In other words, no need to panic.

Damn, I have been having problems with my Verizon DSL for almost a week now, but its not just me.  I talked with some others at work that have it and they also seem to be having problems.

Hehe, as soon as I started having problems, I updated the firmware of my router and modem.  :elaugh:

Seems to be more of a service problem.  I have a direct number for a tier 3 installer/tech support for my area, I called and chatted with him for a bit, but he hasn't gotten back to me on what the issue is.  There are 2 other people I talked to in the area (within a 10 mile radius) that are having similar issues, so again I am very doubtful that the specific problem is on my end.

The issue I was seeing at first was about 20-30% packet loss from last Wednesday through Friday with service dropping all together (which also started turning into retransmit flooding, which could have also been causing service drops).  This turned into dial-up speeds through the weekend with some packet loss, but again there were a lot of service interruptions.

I only got to check it out this morning for like 10-15mins and it seemed to be running alright, but who knows with these jokers!
