Digital cable filter?
« on: December 11, 2005, 07:39:46 PM »
No im not trying to steal from my cable company... but this does intrest me just because it sounds to easy....

http://www.cableboxfilters.com/

i guess by plugging this in you woulnt get billed for pay perviews...
its suposed to block a signal that the cable box sends to the company every time you order a movie.... but i herd that the cable company polls boxes every so often and they will lock your box if it dosent send a signal back...

.... waiting for sullys reply ....

Haha....I don't know for sure, I don't work with that stuff, just the PC's, but yes, I do know that we can monitor any box or modem that's attached to your outlet and that your box has to have two way communication for your video to get through without a problem. I've heard some of the techs talk about problems on the return path causing problems and if this thing blocks the box's communication back to the cable system, you're just asking for trouble (viewing and legal).
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!
