thanks for helping me with the mobo to get but i need help with memory! LOL im sorry guys im new with building computers im a noob u can say. But im not a noob at cs i been using a dell and i dont want to look like Crap taking that to the lan with every 1 else havin costom built ones. I am going with this mother board.. ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard i have no idea wat memory i can get for it so if you know can you please help me im a noob at this!!!!!!

First off, just reply to your previous thread instead of starting a new one. It helps keep things organized.

Second, you can find a compatible list of memory types on Asus's website at http://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/socket939/A8N-SLI%20Deluxe/e1889_a8n_sli_deluxe.zip, pages 2-11 and 2-12 (pages 37 and 38 of the pdf) . You will need Adobe Acrobat to view the manual.

I personally use Corsair memory. It's a little pricier than other brands, but the performance and reliability of it is well worth it.

Not sure if you have been to this site http://www.sharkyextreme.com. They have good articles detailing specifications and pricing on the component level. They also have Buyers Guides (usually updated monthly) that are tailored to value (lower end), hi end (middle of the road) and extreme systems (the best of the best of the best, sir).

They take into account new monitors, speakers, keyboard, mice, etc in the price points of those systems. If you have a decent set up of peripheals, then you may not need those. Should be a decent starting point for you tho.

BTW, the mobo you have selected rocks. I am running an AMD 4000+ on that same board. DON'T install the nvidia ide drivers tho. (/me kicks self in butt for four reinstalls of Win XP to start)

hey man thats a nice start. i myself would scrap the patriot Ram. Like Sully said go for Corsair or high quality OCZ.

As far as video cards go it would depend on your price point.

i think the best bang for the buck right now is the Nvidia 7800 gt.
if thats too pricey go for a 6800gt
ati is just getting their x1000 cards to retailers so im not sure of their price
or their performance. but they are supposed to be really fast and Im using an ATI and I like it a lot.

for processors:
go for the fastest you can afford I use the AMD 64 4000+ and Im very very pleased with it's performance and the price has recently dropped on that pig. i think it can be had for $380 or so. just make sure you get the retail and not the oem or it'll come without a heatsink or fan.
