boot-up problem?
« on: January 06, 2011, 05:15:22 PM »
latley my comp is starting to not bootup the whole way.  during the hardware detection part of it it sometimes freezes...  is this a PSU-failing symtom or does anyone else have any other ideas what it might be.  I havent installed anything in a while so im kinda thinking its the power supply.

thanks

I've seen similar problems with some laptops at work...ended up being the motherboard failing. Are you able to get into BIOS? Or if you can boot it some of the time, one of the successful times, try flashing the BIOS. Even if there's not an update to what you currently have, something may have gotten corrupted and re-flashing the same version should correct any corruption.
Please just walk away. I don't want to have to stand here and say something so awesome that I'll have to remember it the rest of the day. Thank you!
