Author Topic: CoD2 Is Screwy (Read 1920 times)

I just reinstalled CoD 2...Now I'm not sure if this matters a lot but...I used a "disc" that I got from the LAN to install it...

However..I did buy a legal key for the game so I legally own the game...Anyways, This is the screen that I get when I try to play. I have tried to toggle off shadows, changed direct x, turned textures off and I still get this problem. I know that when I installed the game before, I never had this..so I'm a little reluctant to say it's the install cd..however the more I eliminate the other possibilities, the more it appears that that is indeed the problem. So any who...I was wondering if anyone saw this before and if so, anything I should try 2 do in order to fix it. One thing I'm going to do right now is install the latest Nvidia drivers though I have 93.71 and install the cd's version of Direct X 9.0c even though I still get this issue changing to direct x 7...

Umm..I know that my xfx 6800 xxx didn't have a lot of support so I think it may just be an issue with this game (I don't have any problems with any other games I play)

Anything u guys could think of, I'd be greatly appriciated. Thanks

yeah, that the same thing that happens to me in CoD as well as CoH, and halo from time to time.
Not sure what to tell you I simply exit out and come back in which is annoying.

nothing is oc'd at the moment..everything is stock..

OH NOES!

I hate it when it does that, funny it has never happened to me on my 7800GS. I am using the same drivers as you are. Have you tried reverting to an old driver?

Umm...well after reinstalling my nvidia drivers and installing direct x 9.0c off the cd..it cleared it up. So far it hasn't come back...

Though I'm not sure if I wanna do CoD2 again after just being raped. I was on for 3 hours yesterday and never got about 50/50 kill death...

(28/28..that kind of thing)

Guess I need to practice. Ashame because I used to pretty good (Always German with the k98 non scope 1 shot kills...Good Memories) Man I've gotten pretty bad since not playing for 8 months

Off topic..but does anyone notice Fites Server is REALLY REALLY LAGGY!

Man...I can get 2 any other website just fine so it's not my ISP..But it took me 13 sec to load fites..and I tried loading it 3-4x

Don't know whats happening...Pride must of messed it up again :-)
