Sweet.  After you pillage a ship you can heal your victims.  :)

I was thinking about getting a Tracker Hornet for the long range scanner, but with Czar having that on his cutlass I don't know how necessary that will be anymore. I still want a Hornet, cause... sexy. But I was wondering what everyone else thinks.

Ogar already has a super hornet, and they take 2 to crew. I was looking at the stealth model, but it comes seriously under gunned at the start. It could be nice to have as a means of getting a first hit or sneaking past people, but I don't see much use after that. The hard points are all still there to be used, but it will take some time to get the in game creds to mount weapons on there.

The base hornet is also an option, but with nothing that special about it I feel more 'meh' about it. In then end I think it comes down to getting the stealth hornet, or going redundant with two long range scanner ships.
Eventually something cool will go in here. It's a matter of time.

Are we sure they're the same scanner? Also, what about a multifront assault? May be helpful if both groups are seeing the same sensor readout.

I didn't think about the differences in the types of scanner. One might be more dedicated to targeting data than the other. And more eyes in the sky certainly doesn't hurt.

Well, I made another ship change.  I felt having the 350r and the 325a was a little redundant.  I kept the 350r cause it's hella fast and can mount just about the same weapons as the 325.  I felt the 325 made a substandard fighter so I traded it in for a hornet.  It's the base one right now, but I plan on turning it into a super hornet if the opportunity arises.

So at the moment I have a Hornet, a 350r, and a Freelancer MIS.

Nice! I am totally going the Hornet route as well, but I'll be going for the sensor package. I was eyeballing the stealth package, but I may make that one of my first in game ship purchases. There is something about the Hornet that makes me want to be come a collector of them. As many Hornet Chassis as I can get, I want to.

This leaves me in the pickle of keeping an aurora for cargo runs, or getting something like the new Drake to be an info runner.

I've got my Super Hornet.  I also picked up an Aurora LX for my son.  So now I have a super hornet, freelancer mis, 350r, and aurora.

I'll update this again.  I have a problem.  I melted my aroura for a mustang beta.  If we're updating the main page I have a freelancer MIS, super hornet, 350r, and mustang beta.

I pulled the trigger.

There is now a Hornet Tracker model in my hangar. Here's hoping I can get a skin upgrade for that ugly paint job.

You most certainly will be able to change the skin.

Congrats on the purchase.  You can be a command and control ship with all of those fancy electronics.  Just tell me where you want me to shoot all of my 56 missiles!

I am now on course to get a serious rig upgrade in the works before the PU launches. Currently my game runs like crap. But that Hornet cockpit is still sexy.

I drank the kool-aid. Was gonna go with the Hornet Ghost but I saw Mangos already purchased one plus (assuming this list is accurate) we already have plenty of fighters. So I decided to fill a gap instead. Add my Gladiator and Retaliator to the faction. Let's drop some bombs!

PS - I attached an updated graph based on the responses in this thread to date. Not sure how accurate though since some of you guys seem to change ships every damn day.

I love that picture.  I need some bombs if they come like that.

Not sure if it's my mobile browser, but the graphic was cut off at the bottom.  Plus, my freelancer was nowhere to be found.

I have changed ships a little bit.  It's a problem.  For clarification on my fleet here is what I have now:

Freelancer MIS
Super Hornet
350r
Mustang Alpha
Mustang Beta (The beta actually belongs to my son.  But I will have access to it if need be.)
