Looks like it could be a lot of fun, I think I am just a bit too far to attend.
-
I would be up for going but unlike the lazy college students around the area, I work on fridays. and not getting there till 5 or 6 just doesn't make it seem like it would be worth it. Oh well.

check out their website and their pics. looks cool especially with what their doing with the projectors

I see Boofy in one of those pics!

5:30 p.m. Wii Bowling tournament begins;
Counter Strike: Source tournament registration closes
6:00 p.m. Counter Strike: Source tournament begins
6:45 p.m. F.E.A.R Combat tournament registration closes
45 minutes for CS:S Tournament? Not with 200 people showing up.
The whole event is only 11.5 hours long? Thats just when FITES is warmed up.

yea i wonder how many people actually attend. Love to see how many people attend a sub 12hour event. Looks like the gxl's last lan was a success too. Are we seeing a rebirth of the LAN party? hopefully so...

New games... thats all I can think of.

Well you see we have the benefit of being a University! We hold regular bi-weekly 5 hour LANS that bring in over 80 people regularly! Since last year was the first time we hosted a large LAN party we are building to being a longer event, some hardcore gamers demand it and the casuals can't believe people would game that long. 12 hours is our happy medium for the time being.
As for tournament timing, not everyone that attends participates in every tournament, and we get a good idea of how many people will be participating from our pre-registration. All tournament times are flexible. Regarless this is a FREE LAN party for everyone and gives away thousands in prizes, so I am pretty proud of that :)
We also have some fites people registered from what I see, so I look forward to seeing some of you there and hope to discuss some logistics with you! Always great to get an outside view.
Hope to see you all Saturday!

How did the Nov 17th LAN go?
-
It was a big success, we had over 250 people there, and everything went off without a hitch. We had 3 video cameras, 4 net axis cameras and plenty of handhelds there so we will be posting videos and pictures as well as tournament results on the site shortly! Thanks for the support :)
