Online CounterStrike Tournaments - Based in Phila
« on: June 27, 2007, 01:02:41 PM »
Hey guys,

I just introduced myself in the newbies forum.

I wanted to let you all know that my company is looking for beta testers for our new Gamer Tournament Software called GETGOSU.  Currently it works with CounterStrike Source and Half Life 2 Death Match (MultiPlayer).  Eventually we will branch out into other games (FPS, RTS, Sports, etc).

Since we are neighbors (we are located in Philly), we wanted to give you guys a crack at trying it before it goes into wide release.

You can download our beta test version at www.getgosu.com.  Remember, this version supports CounterStrike and Half Life and is completely free.

When the system goes live, gamers 15+ years old will be able to enter cash prize tournaments of all different levels with all different types of payouts.

Hey guys.

I wanted to let people know that we've canned the installed version of the GetGosu client and have gone completely web based.

Sleek, browser based code now calls your CounterStrike Steam Client and you join a prearranged game at our server with a team of your choosing.

Cutting edge stuff here.  No more playing and then reporting scores back to a website.  No more lugging your box to local video game tournaments.

Aside of the auto setup and reporting what functionality does your software provide?

How does it mitigate latency as a factor vs local LAN latency?
Does it check for aim assists, custom skins, hacks, etc?

Also, your site says that you have multiple OC-192's, given the cost I find that hard to believe, but I guess it could happen.
