I know this forum and it's members are geared toward PC gaming, but I'm having some people over (about 10-14 so far throughout the day) on August 6th or 13th to play some XBox games, and you're invited.

$15.00

$15.00 at the door is to cover costs such as TV rental, (50 to 55 inch high def costs ~$50.00, but it's worth it since you can get four people on one of those comfortably) chair rental, game rental, food, (pizza or subs around 6pm if it suits everyone though I'm open to suggestions) electricity, first second and third place tournament prizes.  The prizes may turn into door prizes if the competition is one sided, it wouldn't be fair to put n008s up against some master gamer ya know?

I'm not trying to make a profit or anything here so if a lot of people commit I'll lower the price if possible and if I end up with extra cash we'll have a drawing to see who goes home with it at the end of the night. Trying to be fair and have a good time here.

I'm hoping to play Halo2, Doom3, Mech Assault2, Splinter Cell, Unreal Championship, Project Gotham Racing 2, I'm up for anything EXCEPT DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION.  I'll have no choice but to beat you senseless with your own controller.  Oh the shame and humanity of being beaten with your own controller.  I need game suggestions if you are interested.

I was planning to do this on the 6th, and I just realized this is your monthly event date, so if enough F.I.T.E.S. members are interested I'll push it off until the 13th.  It wouldn't kill me to have a little more time to prepare either!

Bring:
1. Your XBox
2. Your Controller(s)
3. Your Games (bring them tagged or we can tag them as yours as soon as you get there)
4. Your Communicator
5. Your TV if you have one in particular you would especially like to use

I have a sixteen port switch and a couple four port switches, so we could get pretty large if we want.  I have an internet connection too if you get sick of playing with the other people there and want to play on-line.

Please keep in mind that this is MY HOUSE and I have a pretty stiff ejection policy.  I don't tolerate my sh!t being broken, stolen, drooled on, or otherwise f***ed with.  Heated competition and trash talking are good, but if it comes to flat out harrassment I WILL put  you in the street.  Naked.  There may be coat hangers involved.  I won't tolerate racial slurs or any of that "Dude!  You're so f***ing GAY!" sh!t either.  No alcohol, no drugs, and if you think some particular behaviour might be a bad idea, it probably is.  If your guest breaks a rule you BOTH go.

Sorry, I don't mean to be a d!ck or a Nazi about it, I'm just sick of hearing this crap on-line in games.  I don't think most of you would do anything of the sort, but I had to say it up front.

I've never hosted one of these things so there may be a few bumps.  Don't expect anything fancy, and prepare to bear with me plz as we figure it all out.

If you DON'T have an XBox or have never played you are still more than welcome to come, just rent yourself a controller and a game or two!

PS - Just a thought: The XBox 360 is going to have VGA support, so that will be sweet.  Much easier to bring a monitor to a LAN than a TV, and a lot of the cost of this is the TV rental.
