I'm posting this in here because it's the more appropriate forum vs. General Discussion, but apparently the world's first Commodore 64 LAN Party was held recently by the Cincinnati Commodore Computer Club (aka C4). The website isn't very informative, but there are some pics of the event posted. If you're like me and a C64 was your first computer (or one of your first) this may bring back some memories for you. From the "article" on Slashdot:
"The world's first Commodore 64 LAN party was held at the Cincinnati Commodore Computer Club 2008 Expo last weekend, where the new multiplayer C64 game NetRacer was unveiled. The setup consists of up to eight Commodore 64s with Ethernet cartridges and a central server written in Java running on a PC. The game is also playable over the Internet."
