Hope you worked out the server. Last night talking to you it wasn't too promising.
well I got Server running since I just decided to do a fresh OS install on the new WD SE16 sata drive. I was originally gonna ghost it over but this seemed to be the only way without dealing with the headache. I stayed up till 1:30 working on it but I have the Hard Justice, Counter Strike Source and Tron servers up and running. Only thing left to do is installing CoD4 and the CoD4 gungame mod. I'll work on that tonight. Hopefully I can finish everything up before tonight for tomorrow. The Hard Justice mod runs SOOOOOO much faster I really cant believe it. It would take about 30 sec to load a map on HJ, but now I clocked it loading new maps in 8 seconds flat
Only wierd thing would be that my MSI mobo downclocks to 1.6GHZ if it's not really using much CPU speed. Now as soon as HJ or anything else starts loading a new map or something, it'll bump up to 2.4 where it's suppose to be but as soon as it's done, it goes back down to 1.6. I had 4 servers running at the same time (HJ, Tron, Source and FEAR) and I still wasnt using enough CPU to get it to go to it's norm 2.4 clock. I just found it wierd but I'm not complaining. If I'm not using it, why not keep it low. It'll help with temps and ultimately CPU life in the end. I was originally going to OC the thing to like 2.66 or 2.8 but after having everything running and not even hitting 10%...whats the point really
BTW I found it surprising that Server automatically sees 4GB of memory off the bat. The 1066 really makes this thing pretty snappy. Overall I'm impressed with it's performance. I def don't see any problems running HJ or having any sort of lag whatsoever in the near future. I just wanted to give an update. I'll try to finish everything tonight
