sister's up from Scranton and I built a big old 4' bonfire so it's sipping bud lime and roasting marshmallows tonight...I'm out.

When you guys were on my TS last night, did you notice any lag on it?

I'd getting this bogus intermittent lag on my end ever since my power went out a few days ago. I am seeing an obvious 1-5 second lag when playing games, and few of my friends have said I'm breaking up really bad in TS when I talk. And yet, my ping in game and on TS is fine. Never see it spike... and it's not graphical lag. I am very very confused, and trying to narrow in on the cause. I'm thinking it has something to do with the stupid router verizon gave us, since I've had similar trouble in the past with it.

If you have a good router that you use behind the DSL modem you can put the DSL modem into routed bridge mode and it makes the modem pretty dumb then.  I did that at one of the buildings where I work.

This is FiOS. Not DSL. Verizon gives you a router/modem combo, so the coax hooks directly into the router. Not sure what the heck I'd use as a substitute.

I use a wireless N router from Dlink. The damn router Verizon gives you never keeps a password for me. So I went to N wireless and couldn't be happier.

COD4 was a blast, comrades. I think a little break was all we needed to get re-enthused. TS sounded fine for us, though.

Good to know. So I don't have to worry about it being laggy for other people.
