New to East Coast
« on: March 11, 2013, 09:00:36 AM »
Hey everyone!  I just moved here from Portland Oregon, where I have been a PDXLAN attendee for years now.  I have been looking for a similar LAN community, and was pretty bummed out because there is really nothing in the DC area.  I didn't realize that just a little over an hour north of me, you guys were making waves in the LAN scene!  I was reading CPU magazine and saw a PA LAN mentioned in an article and I had to stop by and say whats up.

Glad to have you! Sorry that you just missed our large annual event by two weeks but stay active here and you'll receive word of our other events throughout the year.

I know!  I was definitely disappointed to see you all JUST had an event.  I would have easily been able to make it.  CG though!  It was your biggest turn out to date, correct?

Yep! Sold out and we're well on our way planning for the next large one. Throughout the year we hold smaller cozy events that we'll announce on the front page.

If that is your rig in your avatar, please post some more pics of it. I love mods and liquid cooling.

What kind of Fudgeing computer errors are you getting?

Awesome!  I love smaller lans.  Reminds of the good old days of counterstrike lans 99-02 =)

Yeah, thats my main rig.  This is before sleeving and any sort of wire maintenance.  I am going to sleeve it with white and blue paracord, and make a new window for the side thats clear instead of smoked.

Thats my wife's totally finished build next to it.  Black and pink ftw!

As I see you're into water cooling this is the perfect time to shamelessly plug one of our good friends Frozen Q. He and his team do laser cutting of acrylic, and have made quite a name for themselves with custom cases and cooling reservoirs.

https://frozenqshop.com/

If you look some of our Media links at the photos for this past LAN and the 2012 LAN you can see the custom trophies and badges they designed. Also, welcome to the community! You should join us on Team Speak sometime and let us know if there's a particular game you'd like to schedule a large night showing for.
Eventually something cool will go in here. It's a matter of time.

Definitely.  I checked out his page earlier since he was a sponsor.  I am really digging his Microbox, I would love to build in one of those...  I have definitely seen his reservoirs on frozencpu.com.  Seems like a great sponsor to have!

I'll definitely hop on ts with you guys soon.  Thanks for the warm welcome =)
