New in town

Hi

I just moved to Shermans Dale, PA from Reading, PA and previously lived in Norristown, PA and Most of my life in Jacksonville, FL.

I love PC Gaming. MMO's etc. I am 34 married with a 6 year old. I work in IT for Tyco Integrated Security working with enterprise Physical Security Information Systems.

I know one person in Mechanicsburg but that's it. I hope to make some new friends around here since i just bought a house =)

Greetings to FITES and to the area!  (again) :)

We're not a clan, so no memberships or anything like that.  We're just a group of people who love PC Gaming and LAN parties in particular and enjoy hosting them so people can get together and have fun.

A lot of the regulars live in or within a 1-2 hour drive of central PA.  Some others from all over NA.

As Twins said in the other thread, you should hop on TeamSpeak some time.  It's decently active most evenings.  Also - check us out at http://steamcommunity.com/groups/fites to see who all is playing what.

What games do you normally play?

Well it’s past a year since I posted this and i forgot to reply!

I used to play EQ1 back in the day then moved to meet my now wife. Moved to WOW in beta. Played WOW up until about a year ago.

I Love the new XCOM. I like to hop on FPS games now and then. I am sure I would play more games if I could meet some people around the area who play also.

I am thinking about going to the 250man LAN coming up but I am still debating it. I haven’t been to a LAN in many moons. I don’t want to be the old creepy guy who shows up and doesn’t know anyone LOL.

You should stop thinking and just do it. You will not regret it. You'll make several friends to game with within minutes of setting your stuff up for sure. You can always hop on our Teamspeak server too and play some games with the FITES guys and a few of the regulars anytime. That way you will already know people before you get to the LAN in Feb! Seriously, just do it.
