I am seeing lots of new people around the site these days. I am sure i have met some of the york guys that will be attending the lan here soon. But for everyone else, why don't we introduce ourselves.

Also, I will likely be attending QC in Dallas, so hopefully we can have a great time there also.

Been running a mini-LAN (about 6-16 people, 1 every month) for friends and friends of friends for several years now. Ran across your site about a year and 1/2 ago, and wanted to attend the big LAN then, but other commitments interfered. This time it worked and I'm dragging 4 others along. Looking forward to gaming without being in charge (and probably losing horribly).

I was looking for local lans (DC area), and FITES was the closest thing I could find that was anytime soon! It's only a 2-1/2 hour drive (I have driven further for lans).

I went to DO in Providence last year (can't make it this year, SUCK!), along with EXILE in Albany, and some other lans around CT.

I lived in eastern PA waaaaaay long ago, so I'm looking forward to a frag-filled victorious return to the region. :2thumbsup:

Practicing though. I mainly play counterstrike (noob) but I can pick up just about any game and play it at a level that isn't embarrassingly bad. We'll see how this goes, eh?

BTW: Any advice on avoiding traffic on the way up. I am coming from Delaware so I will use RT 30 and then RT 238 to get to the LAN. I temporary worked in Harrisburg and remember that traffic around that area was a pain.

I expect to getting into the area 05:30 or 06:00.

If you're already thinking of hitting 30, you might just want to stay on 30 and hit 83 and then get a straight shot up from there. You'll avoid Harrisburg completely. 83 will be a little crowded around that time being Friday and all, but it'd be better than having to go through Harrisburg, I would think.

BTW: I live just off RT41 south of Hockessin.

I ran the numbers, taking Rt 30 to 83 as you suggest is 2 hours and 2 minutes. The google maps suggested route is 1 hours and 52 minutes. I think the RT30 to 83 is a good option as it avoids the mixing bowl at the turnpike, 283 and 83.

The nice bit about this place we'll be at is that we're on a loooooooong stretch of road that has plenty of food and gas joints all along it.

I have been a gamer for quite a long time (been playing the consoles since I was at least 4). Recently I was able to build myself a mid-high ranged Gaming PC and I'm glad I did. I still own a good range of consoles, however, and most importantly, I do own an Xbox 360.

I am continuously looking forward to upgrading my PC in order to have the most intense games bow down to me xD. Though I am happy with my current specs and patient enough to wait til I have enough to do some considerable upgrading (Getting me a Phenom II X4 940 CPU). Anyway hopefully I can arrange myself to join in the fun at this LAN Party.

Oh and before I forget here are some games I play:
Modern Warfare 2
Unreal Tournament (original, 2004, and 3)
Battlefield 2
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Left 4 Dead
Counter Strike Source
Team Fortress 2
Quake Live
and quite a few others that people may find interesting or silly

However, we do play every weekend in the evening and meet on our teamspeak server, goof around, and play some games.

If you're interested, we'll be on Friday and Saturday night beginning around 8 or 9pm and going in to the morning. Meet up on teamspeak over at fites.is-into-games.com (teamspeak 3) and you`ll see us on. Due to the left 4 dead 2 DLC coming out tonight, a few of us have expressed interest in playing that though it may quickly become BFBC2 as the night goes on.

Its great to see a thriving community of avid gamers and to see a LAN community still alive and well! I live and work in the Harrisburg area and hope to make it out to your next party with a group of guys that I run LANs with. Looks like a great time!

Since 2007, we've been putting on bi-annual LANs (20-30 people). It started as a small group of college buddies getting back together after moving away after school, and has steadily grown with each LAN. We've come to call it LegendaryLAN and are thinking of starting a website, etc. Hopefully we can learn from your vast experience!

I play the following games fairly regularly with our group, it would be great to join in with you guys from time to time:
-Starcraft II
-Counterstrike: Source

-Master of Orion 2

I was reading the latest issue of CPU magazine and saw your LAN listed as I'm an AVID LAN goer and may get to attend your LAN next weekend, if I can find transportation up from Charlotte, which is pretty unlikely.

I hope to start posting here often as I do some gaming and also there isn't many geek related forums for Central Pennsylvania.I've always wanted to do a LAN party, but never got around to it. C`mon, you've got a couple weeks to get a gaming rig together! :) We hold smaller events in Lancaster county throughout the year so you won't have to wait a full year to get in on the fun.
