Title: Hello Everyone
Post by: MoxMax on December 25, 2007, 01:31:24 AM
Hello Everyone, Merry Christmas! Just finished with the kids presents under the tree and thought i would drop a line here.

My name is MoxMax and I just started a new community called BattleCompany.com. I wanted to drop a line and see how active people are in here and to find out what games are mostly played on LANs. So please feel free to let me know what is going on, and I hope to find out more about Fites.net

Our TeamSpeak server is 72.9.148.99  you can log in as a guest and just create your own nickname if you like.

FITES used be really big into Battlefield. But, it seems the majority of FITES have lost interest in the BF series, at least at the monthly LANs, but there are usually BF games at the larger LANs. COD4 was a big hit at this months LAN, it was basically all we played.

Other than that, we have UT2K4/UT3, TF2, CS, Zombie Mod, and a few others. We generally play whatever we can all agree on.

I am not finding any informatino on current lan parties here at your site. I would definately be interested in showing up at one.

Also, I have 2 more servers that are collecting dust, that I hop to be running 2 Crysis servers, 1 BF2 POE, and the rest are open. I am up for anything really. This battlecompany.com venture kind of took a Crap on me, when my main sponser and partner, had to drop out at the last minute.

So, in a nut shell, I am game for whatever really.

In the gallery you can see pictures of past LANs. You joined us at a bit of a slow time. We just had a monthly on the weekend of the 15th... But when we are ready for the next LAN we will open registration. You should see these forums before one of our big events... It's hard for me to keep up. :) As for gear... We seem to be pretty good and wouldn't want to make people haul more than they have to.

A guy named Bill. I don't remember his last name, but he used to run TronNet or something.

I have to ask (cmon look at my avatars)  what and where is tronnet.  I googled it and nothing that seems related comes up.

hehe As far as I know, Tronnet had nothing to do with the movie. They were a LAN center in the Colonial Park mall. A few fites people went there some time ago... Sully, Pride, Firefly and myself. It was fun. There was this nice food thingy in the back with a cute girl who was flirting with me.... until sully broke that up so I could go play UT.  :cussing:

I guess it didn't see much action tho.

TRON = Totally Radical Online Network

And it is Bill.....crap, I don't remember either. He did a live podcast at our large LAN in August actually with TechShed (http://techshed.mypodcast.com/2007/08/Episode_14_TechShed_LIVE_at_FITES-36104.html).
