Hi guys! My name's John a.k.a. Tarcus. I met Sully today who told me about FITES. Being kind of new to the area (moved up from Maryland to live with my fiancee), wanted to drop a line and say hi! It's really cool to find a thriving LAN scene in the area and thought it'd be a great opportunity to meet some local gamers

I'm into lots of different games but (feel free to mock me) I'm really into RPG's, especially WoW. As far as FPS's go, I just started getting into TF2 and of course CS:Source when I feel like getting shot in the face. From what folks are telling me, I really need to get into LFD, heh... and before my Xbox went RROD I played a lot of Gears 1.

Hey John, glad to see you made it. I've been with FITES since nearly the beginning a little over six years ago, and of the dozens and dozens of people I've told about FITES over the years, you're only the second person to actually follow through with at least a forum visit. So it's kind of like my K:D ratio.....or should I say my D:K ratio since that's usually more accurate for me

Hey Shaun I actually think it's a really sweet idea for local gamers to be able to get together; after all, you already have one thing in common and it's a great ice breaker. We had a very small type of thing back in the day but it was really only ever a max of 10 of us. I'm definitely looking forward to getting some game time in with you guys

Being in the gaming industry for so long, it's a real tight-knit community. I might have some friends that would be into this type of thing... I'll have to let them know as well.

And if you've ever seen me play Counterstrike... well let's just say... I don't get a great K:D ratio running around with dualies and the Mac 10

Heh, figured out the Steam problem. It was a program called Rawr which is a character analyzer for WoW. I think it was causing a conflict with Steam, so I closed that and it started working just fine
