Not to beat a dead horse, but I'm in the lab with the printer as we speak, and here are some size comparion pics (large image warning)

A magazine is printed with different paper, inks, and it made by ink on aluminum etched plates. (The metal is not etched, its the kodak chem layer that is hydrophylic.) The magazine is usually printed with 8 pages on each side of the original sheet of paper. The sheet is then cut (with large machines) and folded (usualy by machine), then place into a saddle sticher or glue binder depending on the size of the mag.

I'm not sure what size the designjets our drafter uses to print out system maps. Pretty big though, probably about 42" like pride's. I'll check Thursday (taking a personal day Wednesday).

And I think you're all overanalyzing it. I think he used the printer that's sitting on top of his monitor!!!
