And last time I checked, the proofer at the print shop used those tanks. Each tank was about $400-$800 dollars! Just cause you have more does not mean it costs or uses less. Ink is not cheap. I spent over a year doing IT for a printing company that has 4 of
these and Two smaller two color presses. Prepress has two
Spinjets, and
Trendsetters one for plates and one for film. They also have a kodak proofer that I can not find anymore because it was a Creo product.
So, if I am seeing the places where its taped together correctly, we are looking at $10-$20 dollars a sheet because of coverage. This would also depend on the type of paper that was used. But then again, if you work for a company that does printing you can get away with printing (on the proofer) personal things every once and a while. If you even think about the press you are insane! To get something on press you better be doing over 100,000 copies.
