Title: Whoa! Where'd they go?
Post by: sully! on July 30, 2005, 06:41:30 PM
Found on ebaumsworld.com (http://www.ebaumsworld.com)

Focus on the center + and all the outer dots will disappear. I've found it helps if you get a few inches from the monitor.

ummm... why?

And about that animation... if you notice it looks like a green dot is moving around in the circle. its the same thing like if you look at an american flag that is green, black, and yellow for a few mins then stare at a white wall, it looks normal.

when you look at it close enough, the red and green just cancel out. :P weird optics.

Our optic nerves are slow and easy to fool. I mean just look at movies.. And your FPS in games. The higher the rate the more they fool.

semi-offtopic but, kind a cool to try out.

3 spotlights. 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 blue. In light, those are the 3 primaries. shine them all focused on one spot, the spot turns into white light. same thing with the cancelling out. mix yellow and blue first, ya get green. add the red in, it cencels out.
