Title: Cool Pictures
Post by: {ShadowWX} on May 06, 2009, 04:40:53 PM
well I figured since we had a funny videos and a funny pictures thread, and there's only a cool videos thread I'd start a cool pictures thread. this can be anything from something awesome you just bought or did to something that you found either on the internet or just in the outside world. funny pics are meant to give you a laugh, where as cool pics are meant to make you go "wow that's freekin' sweet!"

Sorry for the speil.

Don't even get me started on this thread. I have a bajillion awesome pics to post. In fact, I should probably start a Cool Websites thread as well. Since I do find a ton of them.

Cool HDR photograph, which happens to be way too big to embed.

All of the following photos are non-photoshopped. They might have had some color balances, but no actual digital photo manipulation:

That shot of Mt. Fuji features what's called a lenticular cloud and seem to often happen over mountains, though I believe they can occur in the open sky as well.

Edit: Yes, they can form in the open sky, no mountain needed

strange... a bunch of my pics aren't showing for me. Yet when I view their links, they're fine.

edit: fixed by removing img tags

edit again: not fixed. link from that site is... bogus somehow

final edit: 100% fixed the hard way.

This might only mean anything to me, but it's still insanely awesome.

These images were made completely from gradients in Adobe Illustrator. These are NOT 3D models. 100% vector art. Fudgeing incredible.

I am a graphic design major and I never seen anything like this. This takes insane skill and time.

Here's his page with his other work. All really cool. I know how hard it is to use the gradient mesh tool. This guy must be patient out the wazoo.
