Sooo, I have been having annoying 5-30 second network drop outs on my Comcast connection. And my 'cable' led on my cable modem has been flashing for some time now with the status page reporting that the Ranging requests have timedout. So I call Comcast to ask them if they see any issues with my signal (there are none according to them).
Here's the funny part:
I said that I have a long run from the entry point in the house to my modem upstairs. She said to check and make sure that there are no kinks in the coax cable since
it is all fiber optic and there are millions of fibers in the line and a kink would hinder performance.
I had to laugh out loud at her.
