Well if this exists then I guess there is no point in torrenting roms then.

Only illegal if you don't own the software allready.

Well if this exists then I guess there is no point in torrenting roms then.

Sure there is, that site doesn't have ALL the roms.  Besides, I think before long there will be a legal issue with that site and Nintendo.  So I'd suggest getting a program to retrieve the SWF files and save to yer drive(s).

EDIT: Actually they are Java Apps, so I dunno what I'd do with those.

Anyone else not able to get these to run? I installed the Java stuff when prompted and the box where the game is supposed to show up is just gray except for a red 'X' in the upper left corner.

Which games did you try to run? I'm getting errors in the Java console. Anyone know what the problem might be? I reinstalled Java (directly from the Sun website) but that just gave me a newer version and I still got the error.:

I'm seeing that right now. It looks like the site is having issues. It's probably been making it's way around all the social news sites. I found it on Digg, which probably means it also hit Del.icio.us, Fark, StumbleUpon, Redditt, Slashdot, etc. Not many sites can withstand that amount of traffic. Wait a little while and try again.

So.. did ya follow the link there to the vNES page that made this all possible? Turns out they're being accused of violating copyright for having these games...and they're asked that people send them their old NES carts so they can show they have an original copy of the game.

I must say that although I can't necessarily paly these games at work, they provide a nice soundtrack.

Currently A Boy & His Blob is playing.
