I had a Swiftech pump relay switch short out and catch on fire.
I had flames inside my PC.
I called thier "customer support" and was told that it's my problen, not thiers. They're NOT responsible for what happens when thier product is defective.
It could of burned down my house. They said that they didn't care..........
Danger Den and D-Tek are the best, products and service!
-
They make some really nice waterblaocks still, the folks over at pro-cooling have issues with the buisness but not the products.
Are you using a 120vac pump? I have never seen a AC pump before in a WC system.
-
Danger Den has better blocks.
I've been watercooling since my P II days and have never had any problems until this.
-
I bet that was one hell of a experience, it didn't happen to the rig you are bringing to the lan right? One last thing, customer service/support sucks period.
-
Yes, it's my gaming rig.

GPU bolcks, yes DD has the best. As for CPU blocks no way, the Storm beats the crap out of all DD's cpu blocks. The Apogee holds it's own against DD offerings too.

ahh!
dude. that really sucks.

Thats one hell of a nice pc if its the one discribed in your signature!
That really blows.
LET'S NUKE SWIFTECH AND STEAM!
-
Jk we could spam em though!

MB gets here tomorrow and the pump gets here on Wed.
The night before the 100ML, I built 4 rigs for clients, 1 of them watercooled and rebuilt mine (watercooling and all) after a full day of work...............I'm kind of used to the pressure.........
-
No way is swiftech overrated, the G4/Storm is better than any other manufactured block out there.

kona, are you sure the switch isn't supposed to do that? Maybe it's just a cool case mod?
-
I'm positive it's noy my mod. It worked fine for almost 6 months. If it was my mod, it would of done it a lot sooner.
The case hasn't been moved or bumped.
It wasn't touching any metal or anything.
-
Did you pee in it again after a night of rampaging alcohol consumption and paint sniffing? That could lead to it. Or maybe your mouse wasn't set to the right setting? Did you check your mouse?
I think it was your mouse.

Swiftech really dropped the ball there, They should of given you a new relay, they shouldnt care what you did with it (as long as it was'nt outright abuse) as most of their products are not used in a plain beige box enviroment.
