Alright, here's the deal. I bought a PNY 6800GT video card off ebay. I was having problems with it and was able to determine it's a VIA chipset conflict so I will most likely need a new motherboard. However, I would like to not have to buy a new processor. I'm weary about switching the processor from one board to another as I've never done it before, but I'm looking to save some money.
What I have:
A P4 3.2 Ghz 478 chipset with HT
What I'd like:
A mobo with PCI-E
AND AGP 8x capabilities (for future upgrading). ATA and SATA capabilities. LAN and onboard sound optional but preferred. All of which needs to have a socket 478 hookup. I don't know if something like that exists though nor do I know what brand I should get. The last two motherboards I bought I cheaped out on to save money so I'm looking for something of better value, even if it's a few bucks more.
