Well if the conroe is that much faster then I'll go with that.  And there is rumors that AMD is going to up their prices in the next few weeks.

I wasn't saying go with a slower dual over a faster single. I was making a comparision. So by that comparision a same speed dual vs. a single the dual should be better. I have only had experienced a slower dual than my machine.  I have no idea how you got that I was saying go with a slower dual core.  That just sounds really dumb to me.
